The Waldhotel lies in an idyllic location at 1121m on the pass between Freiburg im Breisgau and the Wiesental/Todtnau. Surrounded by the most beautiful mountains of the Black Forest like the local mountain of Freiburg, the Schauinsland (5km), the Feldberg (10km) or the Belchen (15km) the Waldhotel offers an optimal starting point for fascinating nature experiences in every season. A hiking and biking paradise in summer and a cross-country skiing and skiing paradise in winter.

All rooms are equipped with 4-star comfort and e.g. flatscreen TV and Wlan.
There are 3 categories: Comfort double rooms, junior suites with balcony and apartments with separate bedrooms and living rooms.
Relaxation / Fitness
The new wellness area of the Waldhotel opens up a world of relaxation, in harmony with the unique mountain world around the hotel. In the panorama indoor swimming pool (6x12m / 29°) you can enjoy an all-round panoramic view of the woods.
In the new sauna world you can let your soul dangle in the Finnish sauna (90°), in the relax panorama sauna (55°), in the tepidarium / steam bath with light play or in the salt stone infrared cabin with brine mist and relaxation music. Everything is embedded in a natural design of Black Forest old wood, slate walls and illuminated mine salt stones. In the Wellness-Stüble you can enjoy various cosmetic and massage treatments as well as wonderful baths in the pair whirlpool tub with panoramic view. From winter 2013 there will also be an outdoor sauna house in the forest with a large winter garden relaxation oasis and a new fitness area. The WohlFit guest programme offers you a varied active programme with Nordic Fitness, Aqua Fit, Nordic Walking and more (in winter snowshoe running, cross-country skiing taster course, etc.) as well as a short break, Black Forest live music evening, etc. The new pair whirlpool tub with panoramic view offers you space for your very personal romantic moments.Enjoy a nice cocktail and spend wonderful moments in an appealing ambience with individually selectable functions and aromas. The natural cosmetics saneO2 offers a unique concept with active oxygen. In addition, there are basic applications (massages, baths) from Jentschura. With the Active Card you can use e-bikes, mountain bikes, snowshoes etc. free of charge.
