ITB 2023

With exciting expectation the first day of the fair approached and held some impressions that stood out from the ITB fairs in previous years. One of the most important changes was the shortening of the trade show to three days (originally 5 days including the weekend) and the elimination of the public visitor days.

From a business point of view, the fair was a complete success for TOP INTERNATIONAL, this time co-exhibitor with partner CENDYN/PEGASUS, and many new partners could be acquired. Although many companies and hotel groups decided not to participate as exhibitors, TRAVEL TECH Halls 9 (formerly "THE" hotel hall) and Halls 7 - 8 were very well filled and visited. The picture was somewhat sadder in the country/destination halls. No colorful events, no walk-in customers expressing interest in new countries and destinations, and for the most part empty booths.

Unfortunately, the layout of the halls was also inconvenient. Due to renovations of all halls around the radio tower, no "round trip" over the fair was possible any more. Instead, it was more of a one-way street that you had to laboriously walk in one direction and then back again. Not very attractive for a stroll through the fair and the halls at the respective ends were weak or not visited at all.

Nevertheless, a successful appearance for TOP INTERNATIONAL and it was nice to see old acquaintances and meet new potential customers again in presence.

The trade fair doors in Berlin have barely closed, but the TOP team is already moving on to the trade fair year 2023. From May 1st, 2023, the industry will meet again, this time at the ATM in Dubai.
